The Cencho Stainless Steel Threaded Tee is a 150 LB investment-cast pipe fitting designed to connect three threaded pipe sections and divide or combine fluid flow within industrial piping systems.
Available in CF8/304 and CF8M/316 stainless steel, the tee combines corrosion resistance with a compact threaded connection. Sizes from 1/4" to 4" are available with NPT, BSP, BSPP, BSPT and other thread standards for different international piping systems.
As a manufacturer of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and investment castings, Cencho can also support OEM requirements based on drawings, samples or specific material and thread specifications.

This threaded tee is designed for Class 150 piping applications and provides three female threaded outlets in a compact T-shaped fitting.
Unlike welded tees, a female threaded tee can be installed without welding equipment, making it practical for pipelines and equipment where components may need to be assembled, replaced or maintained using threaded connections.
Key characteristics include:
● 150 LB pressure class
● 1/4" to 4" size range
● Female threaded connection
● CF8 and CF8M stainless steel casting options
● NPT, BSP, BSPP and BSPT threads
● Investment-cast body
● Suitable for industrial water, oil and compatible fluid systems
● OEM specifications available
Material selection is one of the most important factors when specifying a stainless steel pipe tee.
CF8 is a commonly used cast stainless steel grade for general-purpose industrial pipe fittings.
It is suitable for applications where good corrosion resistance and mechanical performance are required without exposure to particularly aggressive environments.
Typical applications include:
● General industrial water systems
● Machinery piping
● Utility pipelines
● Compressed air systems
● General fluid transfer
CF8M contains molybdenum and is generally preferred for environments requiring greater resistance to corrosion.
A 316 stainless steel tee is commonly selected for more demanding process conditions involving chemicals, humid environments or other corrosive media.
Typical applications include:
● Chemical processing systems
● Water treatment equipment
● Marine-related environments
● Food and beverage processing equipment
● Industrial process piping
The final material should always be selected according to the operating medium, temperature and corrosion conditions.
Thread compatibility is critical when purchasing stainless steel threaded pipe fittings. Threads with similar nominal sizes are not necessarily interchangeable.
Cencho supports different thread configurations according to customer requirements.
NPT is widely used in North American piping systems and follows ASME B1.20.1 requirements.
An NPT stainless steel tee uses tapered threads designed to create a pressure-tight threaded joint when installed with an appropriate sealing method.
BSP-based threads are widely used across Europe, Asia and many international industrial markets.
Depending on the piping system, available specifications can include:
● BSP
● BSPP parallel thread
● BSPT tapered thread
● ISO 7-1
● ISO 228-1
● DIN 2999
● BS 21
The body of the tee is manufactured using the lost wax investment casting process.
Investment casting is particularly suitable for stainless steel pipe fittings because it allows complex fitting geometries to be formed with controlled dimensions and relatively smooth cast surfaces.
The typical manufacturing process includes:
● Wax pattern production
● Wax tree assembly
● Ceramic shell building
● Dewaxing
● Stainless steel melting and pouring
● Shell removal
● Cutting and grinding
● Thread machining
● Surface finishing
● Dimensional inspection
● Final quality inspection
After casting, the threaded ports are machined according to the required thread specification.
This combination of investment casting and machining helps maintain consistency in both fitting geometry and threaded connections.
A stainless steel tee is installed where one piping line needs to divide into two directions or where two flow paths need to join a common pipeline.
Typical applications include:
● Industrial water piping
● Water treatment systems
● Oil transfer pipelines
● Chemical processing equipment
● Pumps and fluid handling equipment
● Compressed air systems
● Mechanical equipment
● Process piping
● Food processing equipment
● General industrial fluid distribution
Compatibility between the stainless steel grade and the actual medium should be confirmed before installation.
In addition to standard stainless steel threaded pipe fittings, Cencho can evaluate OEM pipe fitting requirements based on customer drawings and samples.
Customization can include:
● Material grade
● Thread specification
● Product dimensions
● Machining requirements
● Surface finishing
● Casting structure
● Packaging
● Inspection requirements
For non-standard tees or special fitting designs, send a technical drawing showing the critical dimensions and connection requirements for manufacturability review.

What sizes of stainless steel threaded tees are available?
Cencho's standard threaded tee range covers sizes from 1/4" to 4". Confirm the required nominal pipe size and thread specification when requesting a quotation.
What is the pressure rating of this stainless steel tee?
The standard product is rated at 150 LB. Operating suitability should also be checked against the medium, temperature, material and applicable piping requirements.
Is this tee available in 304 and 316 stainless steel?
Yes. Common stainless steel options include CF8/304 and CF8M/316 families. The exact casting grade should be specified in your RFQ.
What threads are available?
NPT, BSP, BSPP, BSPT and other thread requirements can be supported according to the product specification.
Can NPT and BSP stainless steel tees be used interchangeably?
No. NPT and BSP systems have different thread profiles and specifications. The correct thread standard must match the mating pipe or fitting.
What is an investment cast stainless steel tee?
It is a pipe tee whose main body is produced using the lost wax investment casting process and then machined to form the required threaded connections.
What is the difference between CF8 and CF8M?
CF8 belongs to the general 304-type cast stainless steel family, while CF8M is commonly associated with 316-type cast stainless steel and contains molybdenum for improved corrosion resistance in more demanding environments.
Can you manufacture a custom threaded tee?
Cencho can evaluate customized pipe fittings based on drawings or samples. Send the required dimensions, material, thread standard and order quantity for manufacturing review.
